After activating the early access for Dynamics 365 2021 Release Wave 2 I have been curious to test a new feature I have not seen and tested before. The advanced lookup feature I had already activated during my previous tests of the polymorphic lookup.
So, I directly navigated to the Account View and had a look at the new option to edit the view in the frontend. And it is definitely a great new user experience.
By clicking on the small icon next to the filter icon on the right side of the screen, …

After you have finalized your changes and the new view is active, you can see a small * next to the view name, indicating that the view has changed and not saved yet.
But this is also no problem. Just click on the three dots in the command bar and select Create View to save the newly created view under My Views.
When checking the View Selector, I just realized that there are some changes as well – instead of the pins that have indicated the selected default view, now you have a Default label and at the bottom of the menu the option to set the current view as my default
